Kalamunda Physiotherapy Centre has 11 gym classes per week. These classes include:
· SupervisedGym classes – This class incorporates individually tailored core stability andstrength training programmes to be carried out under the close supervisionof a physiotherapist. It is suitable for all ages and fitness levels who wantto achieve specific fitness goals. Those who benefit most from this classinclude athletes seeking injury prevention or rehabilitation, those wantingimproved functionality post surgery e.g. total hip replacements, discectomiesand knee replacements, and those looking for increased fitness and health.
· Osteoporosis Gym classes – The focus of this class is to address osteoporosis throughindividualised programmes with an emphasis on weight bearing movements,postural exercises, strengthening of large muscle groups and advice on themanagement of osteoporosis.
· Fitfor Life Gym classes – This class provides a vigorous workout in a safe,non-threatening environment, with an aim to generate strength, flexibility andcardiovascular fitness. Fit For Life is an all-round fitness programmedesigned for those seeking weight loss, are diabetic, are at risk of developingcardiac problems or wish to improve their fitness levels.
