Well, it’s that timeagain! COVID put a spanner in the works last year, but we are back! We are preparing for another popular instalment of the GP evening we run eachyear here at the Kalamunda Physiotherapy Centre.
This is the twelfth year we haverun such a night for the GP’s. Previous guests include Jon Spencer(Orthopaedic Surgeon), David Colvin (Orthopaedic Surgeon), Ross Radic(Orthopaedic Surgeon), Gary Couanis (Sports Physician), John Salmon (ChronicPain Specialist), Mike Halliday (Upper limb Orthopaedic surgeon), DermotCollopy (Orthopaedic surgeon), Sani Erak (Orthopaedic surgeon), RobLarbalestier (Cardio-thoracic surgeon), Quentin Malone (Neurosurgeon), Dr KenMaguire (Rheumatologist) and Judith Thompson (PhD – Women’s HealthPhysio). The talk typically lasts for about 60-75min and there is aquestion time at the end.
This year I have been luckyenough to gain the services of Jonathan Spencer, one of Perth’s most notableOrthopaedic surgeons. Jon works at Hollywood and St John of GodMidland Hospitals operating on Shoulders and Knees. Jon will discussthe approach to the treatment of OA inknees, his approach to a TKR and the rehabilitation post-TKR. It promises to be a fantastic evening.
As usual, the evening will beheld on a Thursday night to maximise attendance of the doctors to fostercross-discipline interaction.
