Tran Nguyen, Physiotherapist
Special Interests in Physiotherapy: Tran is passionate about and highly experienced in treating patients with musculoskeletal disorders such as spinal pain, peripheral joint pain. She has experience in reviewing and treating patients post shoulder, knee, hip and back surgery including knee, hip and shoulder replacement ( meniscal ACL, PCL and MCL repair) as well as other musculoskeletal operations. Tran is involved in prescribed gym and pool exercise programs and her caring nature means she is well suited for monitoring rehabilitation processes. Tran is also experienced in using various manual therapy techniques such as passive assessor intervertebral mobilization, Mulligan’s technique effectively. Tran is also passionate about learning and expanding on her expertise and is currently in the process of obtaining dry needling training as well as preparing to specialise in specific issues relating to women’s health.
Tran graduated from Curtin University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science (Physiotherapy). She worked for several football clubs while completing her university program. Since graduation, Tran has found great satisfaction working in private practice as well as nursing homes and home visits. She experienced rural environment by working in Busselton for one year before moving back to Perth. She has special interests in treating the elderly and patients after surgery and is keen to help her patients stay fit and healthy. Tran enjoys seeing the positive effects physiotherapy has on their daily lives.
Interests Outside of Physiotherapy: Tran enjoyed various physical activities such as bike riding, bush walking as well as reading and playing musical instruments (she loves the piano). She is also a watercolour artist with special interest in landscape painting.
