Well, it’s that time again! COVID put a spanner in the works last year, but we are back! We are preparing for another popular instalment of the GP evening we run each year here at the Kalamunda Physiotherapy Centre.
This is the twelfth year we have run such a night for the GP’s. Previous guests include Jon Spencer (Orthopaedic Surgeon), David Colvin (Orthopaedic Surgeon), Ross Radic (Orthopaedic Surgeon), Gary Couanis (Sports Physician), John Salmon (Chronic Pain Specialist), Mike Halliday (Upper limb Orthopaedic surgeon), Dermot Collopy (Orthopaedic surgeon), Sani Erak (Orthopaedic surgeon), Rob Larbalestier (Cardio-thoracic surgeon), Quentin Malone (Neurosurgeon), Dr Ken Maguire (Rheumatologist) and Judith Thompson (PhD – Women’s Health Physio). The talk typically lasts for about 60-75min and there is a question time at the end.
This year I have been lucky enough to gain the services of Jonathan Spencer, one of Perth’s most notable Orthopaedic surgeons. Jon works at Hollywood and St John of God Midland Hospitals operating on Shoulders and Knees. Jon will discuss the approach to the treatment of OA in knees, his approach to a TKR and the rehabilitation post-TKR. It promises to be a fantastic evening.
As usual, the evening will be held on a Thursday night to maximise attendance of the doctors to foster cross-discipline interaction.
The evening has been set for Thursday the 22nd July 2021 @ 6.30pm for a 7pm start. Light refreshments and drinks will be provided. RSVP is to Mark or Suzanne on 9257 1244 by the 15th July 2021 for catering purposes.
